Some of our favourite things to do with our tempeh. It already tastes nice because of our local beans, but adding spices to food has never been a bad idea.
Tempeh Goreng
Tempeh goreng (fried tempeh) is a delicious snack served in Indonesia. It's a very easy way to make tempeh extra yummie. Also, it's actually a great vegan version of chicken nuggets. Add your favorite sauces. We like vegan sriracha mayonaise. ​​​​
​​​Ingredients:

300g been bean tempeh
-
85g flour
-
1 tsp grated shallot
-
1 tsp grated garlic
-
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
-
1/2 tsp cumin
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp white pepper
-
1 stalk spring onion green
-
150 ml water
Recipe:

Slice tempeh into rectangles of max 1/2 cm thick

Cut spring onion into small rings

Mix all ingredients until well combined. Make sure your 'sauce' is thick enough

Dip slices of tempeh in ​sauce and coat well.

Fry in vegetable oil on medium heat for 4-5 until golden-brown. Turn halfway.

Drain well before serving


Sticky tempeh sandwich
That first bite of a crunchy bun or sandwich is always heavenly. Especially one as delicious and healthy as this one. Sweetly marinated tempeh along with freshness and sourness on a bun.

300g been bean tempeh
-
3 tbsp ketjap manis
-
1 tbsp sesame oil
-
1 tbsp maple syrup
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp cayenne pepper
-
2 tsp tomato purée
-
Jalapeño pepper (optional)
-
4 buns or bread of choice
Recipe:

Fry tempeh on medium heat until golden-brown. Drain well.

Mix ketjap, garlic powder, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, sesame oil, tomato purée and stir in a bowl.

Marinate the tempeh and bake 2 minutes on medium heat. Cool down tempeh and serve on bun with sriracha mayo, lettuce, pickles, onion and jalapeño.
